This is so tender and shimmering with beauty in its soft subtlety. Pulls at threads of my own 🪡 Pretty lovely when you can weave a story about jeans that wraps around the heart to squeeze it a bit lol ✨ And hm I’d say to your reflective question, tattoos though I’ve always liked mine but a complicated journey difficult to articulate lol. But, I suppose too they are kind of a time capsule and can span not only the past 🤔Offering you honor for every moment, passing and celebration for every new moment that brings joy ~ thank you for sharing as always 🌷
Tattoos are a great example, ive thought of getting a small one for my friend who is gone, but I'm not sure. what's it been like for you to carry tattoos from one stage of life to another?
That’s a beautiful idea. It can be so healing to have an honoring this way, or any way really you feel called to mark such a passage. Tattoo is certainly a special kind of catharsis. Though I think sometimes we need honoring ceremonies many times in many ways over time, without a timeline 💖 I’m curious if you are unsure of tattoo itself and all that comes with it or of the art you would carry?
What a very lovely question, I can’t say I’ve ever been asked that. You wily thoughtful reporter with your astute questions lol. For me they are certainly for honor and also are vows of devotion really, tattoo is an intimate kind of medicine and magic I hold dear (also read as initiation lol). So I suppose in answer I’ve found over time from one stage of life to another much as I imagine devotion does— they compound in meaning unfurling more wisdom than I expected, they carry me as much as I carry them, and has offered much of that sparkle of serendipity too✨ And talk about time bending lol. It reminds me of what you wrote, ‘unaware of what was to come´, quite true. Would this possible one be your first experience with tattoo? As always I appreciate your reflections and invitations for them likewise.
Thanks so much for reading Anja, do you have any pieces of clothing or other items from one stage of life that you still have with you-- and how does it make you feel?
