You make so many good points here. Have you read Byung Chul-Han’s thoughts on Burnout Society? I think you’d enjoy them.

Thank you so much Kev, that means a lot. I haven't! What about it spoke most to you? I'll definitely check it out

Thanks so much, yeah I agree that it's not like expensive = bad. It's more about when we forget what really brings value to our lives. If I work overtime to buy an expensive watch, and miss time with friends and family, is it really worth it? Obviously if you can easily afford it, go for it, but even then it's always worth considering whether we should invest our time in experiences/time versus material purchases. Thank you for your long and important comment, I appreciate the time you took to write it and your perspective.

Thats a good point about quality vs. over consuming fast fashion.

And it's also the case like, sometimes we buy expensive items because others want them, not because we really want it. If you love watches sure get a Rolex I guess, but many people buy them because of what others think, rather than actually wanting the item for themselves. A good question to ask is: If nobody else knew I had this item, would I still want it?

What do you think?

That's really beautiful. How did you get to that point? Were you always like that or did something make you want to help more?
