Why subscribe?
Poetry Culture explores ways to live a more creative and meaningful life.
Poetry Culture was founded by Alexander Webb, a freelance writer for the New York Times, National Geographic, and other publications.
✨ Poetry Culture is quietly expanding. We’re about to launch new creative tools and resources for subscribers ($50/yr) and founding ($99/yr) members. I’m also handwriting thank you notes to everyone who joins a paid tier. I hope you’ll consider joining us on this journey! ✨
Why the name “Poetry Culture”
Matsuo Basho said “Real poetry, is to lead a beautiful life. To live poetry is better than to write it.”
In that spirit, Poetry Culture includes essays on creativity and emotion, interviews with artists and poets, diaries, as well as unique sections like Contemporary Time Travel. While the art form of poetry will always be important here at poetry culture, we use the term poetry to expansively refer to an artistic and empathetic life.
How can I support Poetry Culture?
We have notebooks, pencils, and apparel for sale at poetryculture.com/shop
We have enabled optional newsletter subscriptions to Poetry Culture, although these are entirely voluntary at this point, as we would like to keep Poetry Culture accessible to a wide audience.
